The Ridgewood YMCA Parkinson’s Walk is more than just a walk—it’s a gathering of community to connect, learn, fundraise, and celebrate.

Participate in the 1.1-mile walk that loops Bergen County Wild Duck Pond, enjoy specialized programming from local Parkinson’s groups and advocates, and connect with industry representatives, community partners, and Parkinson’s experts to learn about valuable resources for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

The Ridgewood YMCA Parkinson’s Walk would not be successful without the support of our amazing community sponsors, partners, and fundraisers! With your support, we can move the needle for the Parkinson’s Community. 100% of the funds raised will support the Ridgewood YMCA’s Parkinson’s programming.

EVENT SCHEDULE

10:00AM-12:30PM | Check-in
On-site registration will be available at the event for any last-minute attendees. *Please note registration closes 30 minutes before the end of the event.

10:00AM-1:00PM | 1.1 Mile Walk
The 1.1 mile walk around Saddle River Wild Duck Pond will have a rolling start so participants can start and finish at their own pace. The Walk Route will be open starting at 10:00AM and the walkers can begin any time up to 12:30PM. There will be water stations, signs, and volunteers along the route.

10:00AM-1:00PM | Partner Cul-de-sac is open
Our Partner Cul-de-sac features more than a dozen informational tables from industry experts, specialists, and local PD groups, as well as fun and entertainment!

Registration Info

GENERAL

  • Registration fee is a suggested donation of $25 per person. This includes participation in the walk and an event t-shirt.
  • Online registration for the Ridgewood Y Parkinson’s Awareness Walk will close on Friday, May 16, 2025.
  • Day-of registration will be available at the event from 10:00AM-12:30PM at the check-in table. Day-of registrants are not guaranteed event t-shirts.

CREATE A TEAM

Walk in support of a loved one! Gather your team and walk in honor of someone in your life with Parkinson’s. Team tees with names, mottos, and joyful costumes are encouraged!

Once your team is registered, you will have the option to raise additional funds to make a donation in someone’s honor.

SPONSOR A WALKER

If you wish to sponsor a participant or team, please choose the “sponsor a walker/team” option. You can enter their name at registartion.

CAN'T ATTEND?

You can still support the Parkinson’s Walk by making a contribution—no act of generosity is too small to make a difference.
